Kea - Tzia
Kia, also called Tzia, is the closest Cycladic island to mainland Greece, it is full of charm but remains very little known by foreign tourists. Despite its proximity to the mainland, it is not easy to reach it, as the only connections available are from the port of Lavrio, in southern Attica.
Mountainous, it is cut into two beautiful green valleys, its capital Ioulís is built high up inside the island, like many villages in the Cyclades, for fear of pirates. Korissia is the main port which makes it possible to arrive and supply the island. The fishing village of Vourkari is frequented by yachts.
