  • KTEL of Thebes is a company that was founded in 1953, when 23 bus owners from the Thebes region came together to create a cooperative to improve public transportation services in the region.
  • During the 1960s to 1970s, KTEL Thivas grew rapidly and extended its line network to other regions of Greece.
  • In 1980 it acquired its first fleet of modern, air-conditioned buses, and in the 1990s the company began offering international transport services to destinations in Western and Southern Europe.
  • In 2000, KTEL Thiva was privatized and became a public limited company.
  • Today, KTEL Thiva has a fleet of more than 200 buses and serves a vast network of lines connecting Thebes and the regions of Greece, as well as some international destinations.
