A little history

The history of KTEL Aétoloakarnanias S.A. begins approximately 100 years ago when in 1912, with the first presidential decree issued by the government of the time, the first transport services were established on a non-existent road network with buses of 5 to 7 seats, thus offering customers and passengers a unique experience.

Shortly before the war, an attempt was made to better organize passenger transport, but this effort was dissolved by the war of 1940. It was not until 1952 that the grouping of the KTEL companies of Greece was created, with a context legal and relatively good transport organization throughout the territory.

In 1981, among the 59 intercity KTELs operating throughout the country, 1 in each prefecture and island, the fleet was significantly expanded and minibuses serving mountainous areas were added, bringing the total KTEL fleet today to around 4,000 buses throughout the country.

The goal of our company, for the years to come, is to combine our commercial activity within the framework always defined for the maintenance of a stable and safe environment for employees and the completion of infrastructure so that passengers who choose us to travel in safety, with all the elements of quality, security, comfort and speed.
